The notion of friendship is, I believe,
What each and every person concocts and conceives
To fit their ideals, their wishes, their dreams and desires
To see themselves as one so admired.
Flowers, chocolates, heart to heart talks,
Messages, time, folded stars in a box.
This and that and more of the same
To preserve, they think, that sacred name
But it's all in vain
Because they're yet to see
That this world is but a mere menagerie
Of people who think that they can be:
A good friend.
